Here's proof, intentionally gathered from Tampa Bay's Jussi Jokinen, of why black is such a bad color for collecting autographs.

Yeah, you can see some of Jokinen's signature. The black masks most everything else.

Unless you use a silver Sharpie, the autograph hardly stands out.
